about

Terrapin Crossroads is proud to announce "Buckle Up Kids, Vol. 1: The Music Of Terrapin Crossroads," the first studio compilation album featuring the musicians of the Terrapin nation! Recorded over 2 days in April 2016 in the Terrapin Crossroads Grate Room, "Buckle Up Kids, Vol 1: The Music Of Terrapin Crossroads" features 23 of TXR's amazing performers collaborating on 11 great songs.

Buckle Up Kids was conceived as a true collaboration that represents the best of what the Terrapin Crossroads music scene is all about: a group of musicians interpreting and re-interpreting the music that we all love. Not simply a compilation of each band's already recorded songs, this album features unique performances of previously unreleased original music, covers, traditional music, and even new performances of our favorite songs by other Terrapin artists.

Tracked almost entirely live in-studio, these 11 tracks will lead you through a sampling of the kinds of magical moments that happen nightly at Terrapin Crossroads. We have Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band performing Phil & Warren Haynes' original tune "Spots Of Time" and the Grateful Dead's "Just A Little Light", Midnight North and friends covering Crosby, Stills & Nash, the Terrapin All-Stars led by Brian Rashap covering one of our favorite Mother Hips tunes, original music from Colonel & The Mermaids, Ezra Lipp, Alex Jordan, Craig MacArthur. And so much more!

Join Terrapin Crossroads in celebrating the release of this album on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in the TXR Bar. Alexander Nelson & Friends and Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band will be performing, and "Buckle Up Kids, Vol 1: The Music Of Terrapin Crossroads" will be available on CD for the first time!

"Buckle Up Kids" is also available for Digital Download pre-order here: at terrapincrossroads.bandcamp.com/album/buckle-up-kids-vol-1-the-music-of-terrapin-crossroads
